What is NiceTrax?
NiceTrax is a live activity-sharing service for runs, rides, hikes, and other adventures. It lets invited viewers follow location and available activity data through an easy-to-read dashboard.
Why would I use NiceTrax when I already have live tracking with Garmin, Strava, or another service?
NiceTrax is designed to complement the tools you already use. Its focus is a flexible, device-friendly viewing experience for friends, family, and supporters, with configurable dashboards and plan-based update speeds and audience sizes. It's also device and platform agnostic. This will be especially important for group tracking. Whether you have a Garmin device, Apple Watch, or just a phone - everyone will be able to participate in the same group track activity!
Is NiceTrax free?
Yes. The Free plan includes core live tracking for up to five simultaneous viewers, 30-second uploads and viewer refreshes, 30 days of activity history, and sharing for up to 24 hours after recording ends. Plus and Premium add more capacity and customization.
What is the difference between the subscription levels?
Plus offers 15-second uploads, up to 12 viewers, 365 days of history, topographic maps, two screen profiles, and more dashboard fields. Premium offers 3-second uploads, up to 25 viewers, all activity history, unlimited profiles and additional dashboard fields, and more advanced two-device selection. See the full feature matrix.
Why can’t I have all the features for free?
We get it! We like free stuff too! But frequent location updates, longer data retention, larger audiences, and richer map and dashboard features create ongoing infrastructure and development costs. The Free plan covers core tracking, while subscriptions help support the faster and more resource-intensive options.
When will group tracking be available?
Soon! It's one of the highest-priority items on our to-do list! There's no set date yet, but we hope to be testing this by the end of December - maybe sooner.

I have an app or service I’d like to integrate with NiceTrax. Is that possible?
We’re open to learning about useful integrations. Contact us with details about your service and the user benefit. An inquiry does not guarantee an integration or timeline.
I’m a race director and would like to use NiceTrax to track participants. Do you offer that?
Not yet! But this is something we have in the plan. Please contact us if you're interested. We'd love to get your input on what features you'd like to see!
What information can viewers see?
Every tier supports core fields including current location and accuracy, speed, distance, elapsed time, start time, altitude, track, heart rate, power, cadence, and phone or watch battery when those readings are available. The owner controls what is shown on the dashboard within plan limits.
How many people can follow an activity?
Up to five simultaneous viewers on Free, 12 on Plus, and 25 on Premium.
How long is activity history kept?
The app shows 30 days on Free, 365 days on Plus, and all activity history on Premium.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Follow the instructions on the Delete Your NiceTrax Account page.
